Etiquette
Practicing
Yoga etiquette demonstrates respect for ourselves, our peers and our
teachers.
Please follow these simple
etiquette requests to enhance your experience and that of
those around you.
- Arrive
early. Classes start and end on time. Punctuality is part of the
discipline. Please be on your mat with everything you need five minutes
prior
to the
teacher entering the room. We do not permit late arrivals or early
dismissals.
- Please
no talking,
moaning, dramatic and torturous sighs or loud noises during class.
- Front
row sets the energy
and leads the class.
- Stay
in the room for the duration of the class. Be sure you are well
hydrated, fill your water bottle and go to the toilet prior to class
commencing.
- Come to
class clean. No
perfumes or heavy scents.
- Listen
to and follow along with the teacher. Try your best in each posture in
the series. If you think you can't do a posture, keep an open mind & try it. If
you
can do it, you must. If not, keep trying, it's about progression. The most
important thing is that you do your honest best, and have fun!
